Use Internet Explorer with Your VFP Applications

How to automate Internet Explorer via COM and ActiveX.

 DOWNLOAD: (80,437 bytes)
By Rick Strahl

About this Article:

In the September 2003 issue, I showed you how to use the Shell API to display external content from your VFP applications. In this article, I'll look more closely at Internet Explorer (IE) and the mechanisms you can use to automate it via COM and ActiveX. Microsoft has wisely provided an open API to Internet Explorer that opens the entire browser shell and the HTML object model so you can manipulate it programmatically.
